Inclusion and Accessibility

Inclusion and Accessibility

why?

Why?

Only 1% of the 1% know how to make technology do something new.
Kano believes every child should have the ability to understand technology and shape the world, regardless of background or needs.
We believe in the inclusion and accessibility that computers can bring.

How?

How?

Every child is unique, we want to see the uniqueness of every child come through in what and how they create with Kano World.
Teachers do an amazing job of tailoring lessons to the individual needs of their students, technology shouldn't stand in the way of that.
Kano works to empower educators with technology, through our Kano PC, tools, with our latest offerings on Kano Club, and with resources, such as the Kano Curriculum, to bring out the best in every child.

What?

What?

Color-coded modular components of the PC are accessible to neurodiverse students enabling them to build their own device. Our creative software is simple to use with low barriers to entry. So that for everyone, learning to code is as simple as possible.
The possibilities are endless with advanced creative possibilities and we're continuing to give kids access to new domains in technology: art, animations, music, games, apps, etc.

Where?

Where?

The Kano PC is a full Windows 10 device, which means that all of Microsoft's phenomenal accessibility features in Windows 10 are available in the Kano PC.
The Kano PC runs Teams seamlessly as a full Windows 10 Device, giving teachers access to all of the capabilities to manage their classroom in an inclusive way.
